Abstract
Purpose: This study was done to investigate knowledge of intravenous practice for infection prevention and compliance, empowerment, and organizational culture awareness regarding infection control, and to identify influencing effects regarding compliance with intravenous practice for infection prevention among nurses working in small and medium-sized hospitals. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive survey was conducted with a sample of 136 nurses working in small and medium-sized hospitals. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlations and a stepwise multiple regression were performed using IBM SPSS 23.0.
