Abstract

In this paper, ABAQUS simulation software is used to establish the model of the tool and the blank. Through the simulation of the single tooth milling process of 2024 aviation aluminum alloy material, the temperature and stress distribution cloud diagram, the cutting force curve are obtained. The effects of various cutting factors on the milling temperature are studied using simulation methods. The study found that the milling temperature increased with the increase of the axial depth of cut, radial depth of cut, cutting speed, and feed per tooth, among which the cutting speed had the greatest effect on temperature.
