Abstract

Acquired left ventricular aneurysm is extremely rare in children. This report describes an infant with acquired left ventricular aneurysm after percutaneous aortic balloon valvuloplasty for critical aortic stenosis. The potential risk factors for myocardial injury during cardiac catheterization and potential complications are discussed. © Springer Science+Business Media, LLC 2011.
