Konflik Sosial Masyarakat dalam Perspektif Sosiologi Hukum Islam

Abstract

This article discuses the sosial conflict in the community caused by differences in perceptions and intersections. These differences can occur and escalate if there are no factors to minimizing the intersections of perceptions and differences. One of social conflicts which became national issues in contemporary view is based on the assumption that conflict is something that cannot be avoided as a logical consequence of human interaction. However, the problem is not how to reduce the conflict, but how to handle it appropriately so that it does not damage interpersonal relations and the organization. Conflict can be dangerous or may benefit a relationship, depending on how it resolved. Since conflict creates strong emotions, it is not suitable to be used as a basis for constructive problem solving. Escalation of conflict rarely benefits a relationship, especially if it creates an attitude of self-determination, stubbornness, and withdrawal from the relationship. Conflict can lead to physical disputes and actual violence. A community can work together, but it a can also cause social conflict.
