Abstract

Studied the stress-coping methods used by male vs female undergraduate students. Human Ss: 114 normal male and 171 normal female Japanese adults (undergraduate students). Sex differences in Ss' use of 5 types of stress-coping methods (active solution, active escape, patience, support seeking, and passive escape) to deal with 8 stressors (the future, university studies, friends and colleagues, sense of self, leisure, lovers, teachers and classes, and parents and family) were analyzed.
