Peran Perempuan Lokal Tokoh ”Jeng Yah” Terhadap Bisnis Kretek: Kajian Feminisme Ekonomi

Abstract

Exploring the role of women in the cretaceous business in the local environment depicted in the novel "Cigerette Girls". The study analyzes how women's roles, especially those of the main female figure named "Jeng Yah," are involved in the production, distribution, and consumption of cretes and how they influence local economic dynamics using economic feminism approaches. These phenomena are studied using qualitative and descriptive research approaches. This research uses new text analysis and related documents as research data. The results of this investigation found that there are four major topics that describe the involvement of women in the character "Jeng Yah" in the business of concrete: (1) ambition; (2) work experience; (3) organizational culture; and (4) structure and power of leadership. Economic feminism has grown into a symbol for opposing gender inequality and advocating women's economic rights.
