Abstract
The article discusses the struggle of library consortia in the U.S. after the 2008 recession. It relates the study "Where Are Library Consortia Going? Results of a 2009 survey," by Katherine Perry, which argues the impossible survival of library consortia if business remains the mandate during the economic downturn. Moreover, it notes the crucial role of funding in maintaining the stability of library consortia.
