Abstract
Di Marco et al. show that dividing neural stem cells and nascent vessels interplay by endothelial filopodia in the apical ventricular zone of the ventral telencephalon. This neurovascular interaction works as a coordinated system to adjust the balance between neural progenitor expansion and differentiation in the developing brain.
