Kinetics of fast redox systems for energy storage

Abstract

Flow batteries flow battery (also: redox batteries redox batterybatteryredox or redox flow batteries RFBredoxflow battery (RFB)) are introduced as systems for conversion and storage of electrical energy into chemical energy. Their position in the wide range of systems and processes for energy conversion and storage is outlined. Special attention in the discussion of current trends and developments is paid to enhanced electrocatalysis of the electrode processes inside these devices.
