Abstract

The alternatives of a purpose-built ambulance and a specially designed stretcher suspension system were considered and the features of the latter assessed by subjective and objective tests. The results showed a significant improvement in the quality of the ride offered to the patient. © 1976, British Medical Journal Publishing Group. All rights reserved.
