Preliminary results of archaeological investigations in the Bache Peninsula region, Ellesmere Island, NWT.

Abstract

Reports results of excavations in 1978 at Knud Peninsula and Skraeling Island. The results are presented in chronological sequence: 1) Arctic small tool tradition; 2) Arctic whale hunting tradition. The finds indicate the importance of the region in terms of the culture and history of the High Arctic.-J.Clayton
