Abstract

Air pollution is not a simple problem, many adverse effects arise due to changes in air quality both on the health of humans and other living things. Therefore an air quality monitoring system needs to be carried out to help people know the quality of the air around them. Air quality control has been regulated in Peraturan Pemerintah No. 41 Tahun 1999 concerning air pollution control, as a benchmark for air quality based on measurements of SO2 , NO2 , SPM, pH, Ozone, Greenhouse Gas, PM10, PM2.5 levels in the air. An air quality monitoring system is very much needed especially an internet-based system. In this research an air quality monitoring system has been created using the OpenHAB platform that utilizes data sources from Social IoTs. This research as a form of a proposed system that can display the degree of air quality in various cities in Indonesia.
