Abstract
Speech is considered to take its meaning purely from its dialectic with a silence that, beyond their apparent contradiction, is intrinsically linked to the latter. The polysemy of silence evokes multiple connotations that refer to the dynamic heterogeneity of not just the patient's representational system, but also that of the analyst and the binding that occurs between the two. © Presses Universitaires de France.
