Abstract
In recent decades ubiquitous computing and geolocalized devices have blurred the boundaries between the digital and the physical space, and this fact has transformed the way we experience both. Currently, there is not only an immersion in digital games, but the content of the game and the experience of the person transcend beyond their borders, emerging to life and everyday space. This paper aims to offer an analytical model to recognize the different components involved in immersion and emersion, making points of comparison between them. This model is valid both to determine the degree of a particular video game on the scale between immersion and emersion, and to creatively alter it.
