Abstract

Idiopathic autoimmune haemolytic anaemia developed in a patient with hereditary spherocytosis. The behaviour of some osmotic fragility tests throughout the illness and the efficacy of intravenous immunoglobulins in controlling autoimmune haemolysis which recurred post splenectomy are discussed.
