Abstract

The main phonetics variations on consonants produced by three groups of speakers are presented here; a groups of urban-upper sociocultural level, urban-lower sociocultural level and rural-lower sociocultural level. The results clearly and conclusively show that there is a close relation between the sociocultural level and the geographical origen to the level of articulatory relaxation of consonants. Thus, as the speakers move lower in the sociocultural level and move away from the urbana areas the degree of articulatory relaxation of consonants, increases.
