A new approach for ranking universities based on student satisfaction

Abstract

Under the influence of an increasing number of universities in Turkey between competition and benchmarking from day to day has become more remarkable. The criteria used by the world university rankings were mainly seen taken into account when examining the scientific publication. These include academic staff of the article referred to, report, referee, jury, awards, patents and so on. scientific studies have higher weight. In addition to the lack of university research centers as well as educational institutions and also in view of university students that are submitted no doubt that education is very important. In this study, one of the national ranking system that URAP and international ranking system QS World, Webometrics, Leiden, ARW, Times Higher Education, The Center for Measuring University Performance Forbes, US News criteria and weight were examined. Made by blending the criteria to measure the satisfaction of the students and other services here it has put forward a new system proposal with the various criteria in ranking universities. New criteria will emerge at the end of the study would be beneficial because of the university will enable them to see the open side improvements are being considered. It will also provide the opportunity to compare the services they offer universities for students who have college choices.
