Abstract

The article analyses what the Secretariat for Education of the State of São Paulo (SEESP) has dubbed ʼnovelties', from the year 2015 on, in programs aimed at the youth, such as: youth protagonism, student‘s body and democratic management. To reach this goal, the frequency of these speeches is discussed, according to the Foucaultian perspective, as well as how they are articulated. It is concluded that the interdicts which were announced as novelties and which were established as democratic sought only the tutelage of the youth in São Paulo, weakening their autonomy and protagonism after the resistance through the occupation of public schools in the end of 2015.
