Abstract

Very important global food losses and waste. In order to better management of food losses is necessary to know the causes, where they occur, and the effects and activities to minimize. Identify areas of high oportunitetnosti to improve cost efficiency, resource efficiency, and future actions in the direction of "optimizing" the loss of food. Losses occur throughout the food supply chain. In this paper, the emphasis is on research the causes, effects and treatment of losses in retail as a member of the food supply chain. Minimizing loss and wastage of food, among other things, the application of modern technology, can significantly improve the performance of modern retailing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
