Abstract

Red Jurassic limestones and radiolarites from the Kammerköhr range on the Austrian—German frontier show rather consistent remanent magnetic vectors. The average North Pole position for lower Jurassic rocks (red limestones) is latitude 53° N, longitude 112° E and for Middle Jurassic rocks (red radiolarites) latitude 58°·5N, longitude 128°E.
