Abstract

Aquestionnaire was administered to 967 government workers to measure the management behavior of their supervisors and to measure the Ss' morale, teamwork, mental health, performance norms, and other variables. Factor analysis found, for the supervisors, the factors of Group Maintenance, Execution Planning, Discipline Guidance, Observance, and Planning and Coordination, which had been found in studies of private industry, but did not find the factor of Pressures for Work Performance. Results are discussed according to the performance-maintenance (P-M) model of supervisor behavior. (2 ref) (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2021 APA, all rights reserved)
