Abstract

This paper captures the main points of discussion in the development of the emerging area of Animal Law, attempting to provide an introductory overview in order to investigate this area of the Law according to the national legal framework. We embrace thus a series of concepts and elemental ideas, equally analyzing the regulation in Chile that regulates the animal as a non-human living being.
