Abstract

Abstract Currently, the business activities of an organization are inseparable from the role of Information Systems (IS) and Information Technology (IT). Information Systems are a reliable tool to win competition in the industry, assist organizations in realizing efficient back office processes, improve service quality to consumers, help make decisions, plan ahead, expand markets, and market products.. In operational activities So far, the information system used at  PT Trijaya Teknika Mandiri only uses administrative support applications, namely Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Autocad 2004, Photoshop CS where the use of these applications does not make a competitive strategic contribution to the company. In this study, John Ward's PSSI (Information System Strategic Design) concept became the basis for developing the IS/IT strategic planning formulation used in  PT Trijaya Teknika Mandiri. IS/IT strategic planning is used to coordinate the needs of business strategy and IS/IT to obtain value from the organization in terms of competitive advantage. The process of identifying information needed for strategic planning of an information system begins with the organizational environment which includes the vision, mission and goals of the organization , identify the internal and external environment of the organization , as well as internal and external.
