Pengaruh Biaya Perjalanan Terhadap Perubahan Pilihan Moda Transportasi: Studi Kasus Pekerja Komuter Jabodetabek

Abstract

Jabodetabek is a metropolitan area that has various types of public transportation modes. However, most of the commuter workers still use private transportation modes to mobilize. To encourage the commuter workers to switch to public transportation modes, a study was conducted on the effect of the cost variable on the desire to switch to public transportation modes on commuter workers who use private transportation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of transportation cost towards the willingness of Jabodetabek commuter workers that use private transportation to switch to public transportation. The method used in this study is binary logistic regression analysis with a value of y=0 for commuter workers who do not want to switch and y=1 for commuter workers who want to switch to public transportation modes. The results of this study indicate that travel costs have a positive and significant effect on the desire to switch to public transportation modes. The results of this study are the higher the cost of travel, the higher the probability of switching to public transportation modes. The policy that can be applied is to increase the cost of traveling in private vehicles at least 43% of the average travel cost per day. One of the policies that can be taken is to increase the parking fee for private vehicles by at least an additional IDR 3,000 from the initial parking fee.
