Abstract
A new liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometric assay for vitamin D–binding protein was compared with both monoclonal and polyclonal immunoassays. The monoclonal assay may depend on the isoforms present, which may explain racial differences in concentrations of vitamin D–binding protein.
