Mas, afinal, o que é Turismo, Geoturismo, Turismo de Natureza, Turismo de Aventura, Ecoturismo e Turismo Rural?

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a definição dos segmentos turísticos, a saber: o geoturismo, o turismo de natureza, o turismo de aventura, o ecoturismo e o turismo rural, com vistas a uma melhor compreensão destes termos. Para atingir o objetivo desta pesquisa, foi realizada uma revisão de literatura em livros, artigos científicos, monografias, dissertações, teses e documentos técnicos, considerando os distintos segmentos turísticos. Os dados foram levantados a partir da base de dados do serviço de busca Google Acadêmico, bem como da Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD). Conclui-se que, por meio da revisão de literatura, identificamos que os termos turismo, geoturismo, turismo de natureza, turismo de aventura e ecoturismo apresentam certa semelhança conceitual, enquanto o turismo rural se diferencia destes segmentos. Contudo, é relevante também destacar que o turismo de aventura e mesmo o turismo de natureza podem eventualmente realizar atividades turísticas que não contemplem os princípios da conservação e da sustentabilidade, como defendem o geoturismo e o ecoturismo.This work aims to analyze the definition of the tourist segments: geotourism, nature tourism, adventure tourism, ecotourism and rural tourism with a view to a better understanding of these terms. To achieve the objective of this research, a literature review was conducted in books, scientific articles, monographs, dissertations, theses and technical documents considering the different tourist segments. The data were collected from the database of the Google Scholar search service as well as the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD). It is concluded that, through the literature review, we identified that the terms tourism, geotourism, nature tourism, adventure tourism and ecotourism present a certain conceptual similarity, while rural tourism differs from these segments. However, it is also important to highlight that adventure tourism and even nature tourism may eventually carry out tourist activities that do not address the principles of conservation, sustainability, as defend by geotourism and ecotourism.
