Abstract

The heat capacity of butadiene-styrene copolymer polymerized at 41 ° F (5° C) containing 22.61 weight percent of bound-styrene and of butadiene-s tyrene copolymer poly-merized at 122° F (50° C) containing 42.98 weight per cent of bound-styrene was d etermined in the range 15° to 330° Ie, and the data have been used to construct tables of s moothed values of heat capacity, e nthalpy, and entropy. The gJass-transformation t emperature of t he 41 ° F copolymer was estimated to be 213° Ie and that of the 122° F copolymer 237° K.
