The purpose of study to determine the profile of students' collaboration skills on the chemical learning process, especially buffer materials. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques was carried out use observation, test and non-test techniques. The samples in this study consisted of 47 students from class XI MIPA SMAN Tanjungpinang. Sample selection was done by using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used in collecting data uses a collection of collaboration skills which are declared eligible to be used after going through theoretical validation and empirical validation. Data analysis used descriptive quantitative methods. Analysis of the student collaboration skills profile was carried out by categorizing the number of students scores on each item of indicators of positive interdependence, face-to-face interaction, interpersonal relationships and interactions between goup members. The results of this study indicate that the skills of collaborating with students using the discovery learning model have increased every learning meeting takes place.
