Abstract

The amounts of oxygen and nitrogen absorbed were estimated using the relationships obtained in model experiments on gas entrainment by the pouring stream. A nomograph is proposed for estimation during tapping of a typical 200 t converter under any diameter and length of the tap hole and any oxygen content.
