Türkiye'de Tarım Sektörünü Desteklemeye Yönelik Sağlanan Çeşitli Araçların Tarımsal Üretim Değeri Üzerine Etkilerinin Analizi

Abstract

Agriculture sector is supported by countries via different instruments due to the fact that it has strategic importance and including high uncertainties (climate and price risks in particular). In this study, the effects of divergent financial instruments on agricultural production value produced at farm gate are analyzed. Thus, data which is prepared by Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) intended for agricultural sector of member countries is used. This data is constituted annual series during 1986-2015. While total value of production at farm gate is used as dependent variable, market price support, payments based on output, variable input use, fixed capital formation, based on use of on-farm services, payments based on current area planted/animal numbers/revenues/incomes - production required, payments based on non-current area planted/animal numbers/revenues/incomes - production not required, agricultural knowledge and innovation system, inspection and control, development and maintenance of infrastructure, marketing and promotion, miscellaneous supports are used as independent variables. This analysis is performed by linear form of ordinary least squares. Annual nominal data is realized by the Domestic Producer Index (DPI) values constituted by Turkish Statistical Institute (TSI) during 1982-2017 years. Certain errors such as heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, autocorrelation that may be raised in regression analysis are detected; the fittest model is constituted after required corrections performed. Eventually, while market price support (p<0.01), variable input use (p<0.10), marketing and promotion (p<0.10) has statistically significant positive effect, other miscellaneous supports have statistically significant negative effect (p<0.01) on annual agricultural production values. The remainder variables have no statistical significant effects on annual agricultural production values. (English) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
