Abstract

We demonstrate a thin flat polymeric microlens for improving the aperture ratio and light efficiency of an LCD; a tunable‐focus LC lens for imaging processing and switchable 2D/3D displays, and a liquid lens with large focal length tenability for beam steering and machine vision. Detailed device structure and operation mechanism of each lens will be described.
