Abstract

Synopsis Current~ terrrperature and saZinity data from two sections and 13 days time series are ana'lysed. Additiona'l data from other efforts are swrrmarized with other contributions yielding a tentative winter surface circulation model of the area. From the swrrmary~ mechanisms of the upwelling at Cabo Frio are suggested.
