PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS TEKS NARASI ANAK USIA 6 - 15 TAHUN MELALUI PEMANFAATAN BANK CERITA

Abstract

The skill of writing narrative text is one of the basic skills that children aged 6 to 15 years must master as part of their literacy development. But in reality, many children find it difficult to express their ideas coherently and creatively. The aim of this research is to improve children's story writing skills by utilizing a story bank in Kertarahayu Village, Setu District, Bekasi Regency. The Story Bank contains a collection of stories that can be used as reference material to develop imagination and story structure. The method used in this service is a descriptive approach, story bank-based narrative text writing training with the theme of children's dreams in Kertarahayu village with a total of 30 children and the author took 10 children as samples selected according to categories and seen from the writing of vocabulary, appropriate flow and good stories that can inspire, mentoring, and evaluating children's writing results. Participants in this activity are children aged between 6-15 years who are village children who have not yet received good literacy. This service shows that the use of story banks significantly helps children write more structured narrative texts, use more diverse vocabulary, and increase their creativity in telling stories.
