Neonatal surgery

Abstract

There are numerous congenital anomalies incompatible with long-term survival of a newborn. However, only some of them are untreatable. Precise and directed diagnostics, adequate surgical intervention and intensive postoperative care can be helpful for most of those children. Here we can see an example of close cooperation of perinatologist, radiologist, pediatric surgeon and other experts with the same goal: to provide the best care for newborn. In this article the most common malformations of pulmonary, digestive and urinary system are discussed.
