Abstract

High-pressure NMR spectroscopy is applied for Xe (129Xe) and SF6 (19F) confined in nanopore in a wide range of the fluid phase. Two distinct signals due to bulk and confined fluids are observed. The mean fluid density in nanopore is estimated from the ratio of the integrated signal intensities of bulk and confined fluids. The variation in the chemical shift of the confined fluid is correlated with that of the mean density in nanopore. © 2005 The Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry.
