Abstract

Now a day the quantity of plastic waste in Municipal as well as in Industrial waste is increasing due to increase in population, developmental activities and changes in life style. Due to non-biodegradability, the disposal of plastic waste is a great problem in India. Therefore the utilization of plastic waste helps to environmental management as well as bitumen road construction. The main objective of this research study is to improve the properties of bitumen by adding some percentage of plastic waste to hot bitumen. This plastic waste increases the penetration value, softening point and viscosity of bitumen. Thus we can say that plastic waste improves the performance of bitumen road construction.
