Abstract
Advances in radiation therapy planning have enabled high-accuracy radiotherapy such as intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and stereotactic radiation therapy (SRT). At our institution, PET/CT simulation enables more accurate contouring of the gross target volume. As adaptive radiotherapy, the optimal timing of re-planning for each patient is examined by measuring body contour reduction and dose changes during the radiotherapy period. Furthermore, the clinical application of machine learning for optimizing IMRT treatment planning is under investigation. We report here several new methods of precise treatment planning.
