KEANEKARAGAMAN JENIS KUPU-KUPU DI AIR PAOH DESA PANGKALAN BUTON KECAMATAN SUKADANA KABUPATEN KAYONG UTARA

Abstract

Butterflies are one of the insects of the Order Lepidoptera that play an important role in the pollination process in nature. The existence of butterflies cannot be separated from the conditions of their habitat. Air Paoh Pangkalan Buton Village is one of the butterfly habitats that can support the survival of butterflies. This study aims to determine the diversity and abundance of butterfly species in Air Paoh, Pangkalan Buton Village. The method used is a survey method. Data collection was carried out using a single plot method in the form of a square with a size of 25 meters x 25 meters. Butterflies are caught using nets. The results showed that there are 29 genera and 30 species of butterflies in Air Paoh Pangkalan Buton Village. These 30 species are divided into 5 families, namely 2 species from the Hesperiidae family, 7 species from Papilionidae, 2 species from Pieridae, 4 species from Lycaenidae, and 15 species from Nymphalidae. The butterfly diversity index in Air Paoh is moderate with a value of 2.838 and the species abundance index is classified as high with a value o.Keywords: Air Paoh, Diversity, Species of Butterflies.AbstrakKupu-kupu adalah salah satu serangga Ordo Lepidoptera yang berperan penting dalam proses penyerbukan di alam. Keberadaan kupu-kupu tidak dapat dipisahkan dari kondisi habitatnya. Air Paoh Desa Pangkalan Buton  merupakan salah satu habitat kupu-kupu yang dapat mendukung kelangsungan hidup kupu-kupu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman dan kelimpahan jenis kupu-kupu di Air Paoh Desa Pangkalan Buton. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode petak tunggal berbentuk bujur sangkar dengan ukuran 25meter x 25 meter. Kupu-kupu ditangkap menggunakan jaring (net). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kupu – kupu di Air Paoh Desa Pangkalan Buton terdapat 29 genus dan 30 spesies. 30 spesies ini tersebar ke dalam 5 famili, yaitu 2 spesies berasal dari famili Hesperiidae, 7 spesies dari Papilionidae, 2 spesies dari Pieridae, 4 spesies dari Lycaenidae, dan 15 spesies dari Nymphalidae. Indeks keanekaragaman kupu- kupu di Air Paoh tergolong sedang dengan nilai 2,838 dan indeks kelimpahan jenis tergolong tinggi dengan nilai 0,834.Kata kunci: Air Paoh, Jenis Kupu – Kupu, Keanekaragaman jenis.
