Abstract
In this article we present the "Free Thinking Approach", a pioneering experience in non-formal adult education, with the horizon of empowering people with intellectual disabilities through the development of their potential as thinking beings. We present how this approach arises from the confluence of the territory of intellectual disability with the pedagogical program of Philosophy for Children, the own idiosyncrasy that this fusion acquires, its structure and its implementation. Furthermore, this article has several authors according to our inclusive and network spirit.
