Abstract

New exclusion limits on the spin-independent weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP)-nucleon elastic-scattering cross section by the Cryogenic Dark Matter Search (CDMS) were derived using two detectors, Berkeley Large Ionization- and Phonon-mediated (BLIP) and Z-sensitive Ionization- and Phonon-mediated (ZIP) detectors. Two data sets were detailed, one consisting of 33 live days taken with a 100-g Si ZIP detector between April and July 1998, and another take later with Ge BLIP detectors.
