Abstract

The companies that provide drinking water and sanitary sewerage services focus their main attention on the services provided to carry out the mission as such, however, they forget the factors related to support activities which in their particularity were worked in this research being the areas of transportation and logistics administrative processes object of study, which are of real importance for the fulfillment of institutional goals, because these support areas generate a significant cost overrun and therefore in this work we sought to reduce them by applying industrial engineering tools such as Total Productive Maintenance, 5S, Outsourcing, in the proposal to improve the area of transportation and logistics.
