Abstract

Usually the issue of quality of life is almost immediately associated with health. In addition to medical factors, there are others that affect or influence individual’s health in a determinant way. This influence is such that it is currently estimated to be superior when compared to factors within the reach of medicine. The scope of this research is to identify, through bibliometrics, which are the determinants of health with more impact on the population. In order to achieve the objective, a descriptive research was developed using the bibliometric analysis method (a statistical tool that allows to collect information through several indicators to treat this information), in order to identify the types of documents found in the research, identification of journals, determinants of health identified in documents and year of publication, which were the determinants studied, the research method used and the most cited entities/authors. It was possible to conclude that the focus of research (according to the data collected) is the social determinants of health, with experts considering that these determinants are largely responsible for inequity in access to health care.
