Abstract

Cartesian coordinates are the fundamental concept that students must grasp. This is due not only to the importance of Cartesian coordinates in graphics and learning, but also to their unwitting presence in everyday life. A system and approach that can help students understand Cartesian coordinates and their relation to everyday life have been chosen to help students understand Cartesian coordinates and their relation to everyday life through the Lesson Study for Learning Community system and the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education Approach (PMRI). Sharing and jumping tasks are the main components of the learning process at LSLC. The purpose of this study was to identify valid and practical characteristics of sharing tasks and jumping tasks in the context of Light Rail Transit, as well as to support learning Cartesian coordinates that junior high school students could understand. The development research method is used in design research. The evaluation process is divided into two stages: preliminary and formative (self-evaluation, expert evaluation, One-to-One, and small group). Data collection methods and techniques include observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of this study are valid and practical sharing and jumping tasks in Cartesian coordinates using the PMRI approach in the context of Light Rail Transit. This is evident from the validator's validation and the One-to-One in terms of the text's clarity and legibility.
