Abstract

Scabies is a public health problem for many reasons. The oral preparation used in some countries is not licensed in Canada. Secondary infection due to scratching complicates the diagnosis, but once the diagnosis is confirmed, the first-line treatment is 5% permethrin creme and the control of contacts.
