Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education: An Assessment Framework

Abstract

The article describes an assessment framework for scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) in higher education. Topics discussed include categories of SoTL including quality, quantity, and scholarly teaching, criteria for a work to be considered as scholarship, and core areas of SoTL including teaching, curriculum, and learner assessment.
