Linguistic theory and learning-acquisition of Spanish as a foreing language: Theoretical, terminological and conceptual analysis of simple future of indicative

Abstract

The aim of this article is to analyze the treatment of future imperfect tense (cantaré form) in a corpus constituted by twenty Spanish grammars of a foreign language (ELE) of different levels and languages published between 1957 and 2015. We investigate, particularly, the explicative and descriptive theoretical complexity of future tense in Spanish language, the theoretical framework of corpus, the terminology used by authors, so as to denominate to cantaré form, values, educational explanations, opposition of this verbal form within the Spanish verbal system, as well as examples used by authors to describe the future tense. This article also tries to claim the need to highlight linguistic theory and methodology in the practice of Spanish as a Foreign Language, in order to achieve greater pedagogical advantages.
