Abstract

Xylaria feejeensis in its strict sense constitutes the first record to México. Daldinia eschscholzii and X. poitei are reported for the first time from Sonora state. Teleomorphic and anamorphic data of X. striata, a taxon previously reported from Argentina (as X. deserticola) and China, are given. Xylaria striata var. sonorensis var. nov. is proposed on the grounds of its smaller stromata and shorter ascospores, as compared with the typical variety.
