Abstract

When studying geometric and graphic disciplines (“Descriptive Geometry”, “Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics”), it is extremely important that the student has a reliable figurative representation of the main geometric objects (lines, surfaces) already in the first lessons. VR/AR technologies can help with this. The authors propose to introduce VR/AR technologies into the educational process along with classical teaching methods through the use of a special smartphone application. When you point your smartphone camera at a graphic marker, this application allows you to view a three-dimensional geometric model from different angles in real time. To create the application, the authors used the SketchUp editor and the Unity environment. The application was tested while teaching the discipline "Descriptive Geometry" at the Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) and showed positive results.
