Abstract

The deviations from Matthiessen's rule in electrical resistivity of nickel based transition metal alloys are calculated on the basis of the realistic band model. The electron-phonon scattering, the impurity scattering and the electron-magnon scattering are considered to limit the lifetime of electrons. The coupled Boltzmann equations for the electrons on both spin bands are solved by a numerical method. If the coupling constant in the electron-magnon interaction is suitably chosen, the theoretical results are in good agreement with available experiments.
