Abstract
The method of calculation design of the Helmholtz resonator in the duct is considered based on the transition to dimensionless parameters, which are determined concerning the transverse size of the duct. The acoustical impedance of Helmholtz resonator is analyzed. The application of this approach to the special case of a short-neck resonator and the general case with a linear operating mode of the resonator is described.
